Night Programs

Dreamtime Immersion

This is an opportunity to immerse yourself in an authentic Aboriginal experience at the TribalLink Cultural Centre, Mapleton.  We start the night after dinner at 6:55pm with a night walk to our Rainforest Arena. Bring your torch as we may see friends of the night!

Once at Triballink we show everyone our awesome weapons and artefacts ensuring that we keep to the code of the bush and not take more that we need.  Then the lights go off and we tell some awesome local Aboriginal stories from right here on the Sunshine Coast.

Last, but not least, we toast marshmallows on the many fires we have burning and yarn the rest of the night.

Program includes:

  • Night walk through the rainforest
  • Local ‘Dreaming’ storytelling and entertainment
  • Bush tucker supper comprising:
    • Hot lemon myrtle tea
    • Scones and bush jam
    • Marshmallows roasted on the fire

Aboriginal Dance and Dinner Immersion

This is an opportunity to immerse yourself in an authentic Aboriginal experience at the Triballink Cultural Centre, Mapleton. We start the night a 5:45pm with a walk down through the rainforest to our Rainforest Arena.  Once we arrive the fire and candle light are amazing. Be seated at your table and receive the first round of local and traditional tasting plates. Hear the digeridoo and enjoy the first round of Traditional and contemporary dance. Mains come next with some awesome local Dreamtime stories, dessert and the final dance and photos with by the Sunrise Dancers. End the night roasting marshmallows and telling yarns next to the fire, we say farewell at 9pm  

Program includes:

  • Night walk through the rainforest (Bring your torch we may see some friends of the night)
  • Live Dance Performance by the Sunrise Dancers (Aboriginal Dance troupe)
  • Artefacts cultural talk  (learn, experience and play with our team as they explain some of our ancient artefacts and ways of our people
  • Delicious bush tucker meal comprising:
    • bush tucker tasting plates (kangaroo, emu and other meats depending on season and choice, local greens & fruits)
    • Lemon myrtle infused lamb stew and dumplings
    • Vegetarian options
    • Refreshing beverages
    • Dessert
